OH HEY THERE

Hi, I’m Andy Kelemen — director, collaborator, and full-time weirdo (in the best way).

I make commercials, branded content, and other delightful things that live somewhere between “what if a piñata exploded in slow-mo?” and “should this be legal?” My work leans heavily into the toy aisle, the snack drawer, and that one moment in a kid’s birthday party where everything gets hilariously out of control — but somehow looks gorgeous on camera.

I’m obsessed with turning high-energy ideas into polished, joyful chaos. Think bright colors, bold looks, unexpected jokes, and a big ol’ dose of heart. I love working with kids, pets, puppets, robots, sentient piñatas (see above), and real people who don’t take themselves too seriously. I also love creating work in the food and bev space — whether it's a perfectly garnished cocktail or a juice box with main character energy.

I got my start filming behind-the-scenes madness for cult film legends at Troma Entertainment, then spent five years in the political ad trenches, directing national campaigns. These days, I run my own production company, directing everything from nationally aired spots to Emmy-winning docs for PBS (yep — seven of those shiny things).

At the end of the day, I make stuff that makes people feel good — and I do it with an easygoing vibe and a deep love for collaboration. Because commercials should be fun to make. Weird. Heartfelt. And maybe just a little unhinged.
